MASK,, EYES OPEN CAST FROM THE FACE OF THE SOPHISTICATED HORROR VILLAIN
Vincent
Price (1911- 1993) This mask has been enhanced
by artist Erick Erickson
to depict Price in the poster from
House on
Haunted Hill. First a leading man then a twisted
villain that was totally unpredictable. The mask has been enhanced and
restored, the ears and hair have been replaced for an outstanding presentation.
The eyes were sculpted open with a sinister glare to the left that brings
him to life. This mask has lovingly been styled to represent Price in The
House on Haunted Hill (1959)( a favorite of
mine), but it is from that era of Vincent Price's life that includes such
favorites as The Tingler
(1959) (another fave),
The Bat
(1959) and
Fall of the House of Usher.
EACH
MASK IS SIGNED AND NUMBERED BY THE ARTIST.
The mask is cast in Ultra-Cal casting cement, the hardest USG product available.
It measures 10.5"
High X 6.25" Wide X 5" Deep and is approximately 4.5 pounds unpacked.
This mask is finished in Silver Screen Silver rubbed with an antiquing
overlay to bring out the detail. Then it is sealed to preserve it. The
mask is ready for hanging and includes the hardware to do it.
